Compression test results of CFS structural members

The subject of the study is stress-strain state a cold-formed steel structural members under axial compression. aim to experimentally behavior sample from thin-walled profile in compression with stress control. A mechanical method was used test samples on universal testing machine, strain gauge for measuring relative deformations by gauges data collection registration unit. processing results carried out using methods theory elasticity. As result tests out, qualitative picture deformation obtained, values at specific points cross sections sample; as main normal stresses element were determined. conclusions, an assessment reliability obtained based nonlinear plates given; conclusion made about inapplicability analysis profiles. promising fields non-contact optical methods.
